SMALLab Games

SMALLab (opens new window) is a room-sized embodied learning environment that integrates motion-capture technology with immersive floor projection. The game-based experiences blend digital and physical spaces to pioneer new kinds of playful learning. Building off the games originally created by the Institute of Play, I redesigned the three SMALLab games featured in the video above for students attending the Manhattan school Quest to Learn. These were redesigned to align better with curricular learning objectives and to create more motivating game mechanics.

Role: Lead Game Designer (for SMALLab games redesign)
